eczema, emollients, and intimacy

There seems to be increasing tension between my partner and I due to the emollients I use for eczema. There is a lot of advice out there for people who experience a decreased desire for intimacy due to eczema, but what about when your partner has an aversion to greasiness of the emollients? I can't let my skin go dry, but I don't know what to do.

Re: eczema, emollients, and intimacy

My daughter has very dry skin and dislike greasy lotion. What we did was apply a high quality ceramide/lipids lotion, followed by a less greasy but still cream-based moisturizer over the lotion layer. Not sure if that would help your skin to be hydrated without the greasy feel. It's a lot more expensive though - cos we're basically making up for the hydration by using two layers, with the first lotion layer being with 'better' ingredients. Take care!
