Exzema since 13....life

Hi I'm new to this forum, it's the first time I have posted one forum about my condition, so I'm pretty new to this, I'm known as Amme, I'm 26 and have had eczema since the age of 12, it came out of the no where!
I now suffer from SEVERE eczema, for the last 3 years its been severe, I lived with it through my teens, hiding it at school etc...
It use to be on the arms and legs then slowly through the years it developed everywhere, to the point now where I can't work due to its severity.

I have tried steroids with short term success, homeopathic medication with no success, tried several diets trhough they years, I even turned to religion at one point, so many other trial and error schemes I can't even remember.

I could live with it when it's just on the body, but the last 3 years its covered my face in such a way I look disfigured! My hair doesn't grow in places as I itch away at my skin. My eyes are always dry and itchy, my ears are puffed n flaky, and when I have a bad flare my whole face can weep! The discomfort and pain are undiscribable.

At the moment I am on a strict diet consisting of no sugars and additives, and no yeast.
I have lost a lot of weight but my insides feel much better, I am so lost and confused, what am I going to do in life? I'm currently on benefits as I can't work, I hardly socialise, I meet a few close friends once every two months, my mother is the only one who understands the mental and physical torture this condition can put on through, my bed sheets and floor are usually filled with dead skin when I wake up, I could go on forever but I am going to stop lol.

Hope everyone is well, I thought I'd just introduce myself.

Amme

Hi Amme,

So so sorry to hear that your eczema is severe and disrupting your life; have you had an allergy test? Not all eczema is triggered by food, could be environmental like dust mites/ pollen (depending on which pollen, when their count is high in the season/part of day, may see eczema flare-ups)/ stress/ not be triggered by something that can be tested, say sweat/heat.

On the face, some patients are prescribed TCIs which are non-steroidal, but this is usually prescribed for maintenance treatment rather than to actively stop the flare-up on face. Any luck with a good doc?

Take care, hugs,
Mei, mom of eczema daughter from Singapore :)

Re: Exzema since 13....life

Thanks for the reply Mei :)

I am currently seeing a skin specialist, my first appointment is in a few weeks, he is meant to be really good, I have had allergy tests dairy tests and food, nothing was evident enough to cause problems such as severe as mine.

I have had ozone therapy before too it flushed out my insides and removed toxins from my intestines, which helped for a while.

It's a struggle, some people put photos up on here and the skin doesn't look bad at all, my case is a rare and severe case, this is what the doctors say too, :(

Thanks for the reply

Amme

Amme
I am so sorry you are having such horrible problems with eczema. My daughter has had very severe bouts with it and boy is it eye opening on how awful and painful it can be. We found an amazing product that healed her legs completely in 12 weeks but started working after just one week. They have a facial wash and moisturizer that might help you. Its called CLn facial. you can find it by googling or looking on amazon. Top MD the creators have made an unbelievable product and it works. Best of Luck to you. Its a fairly new product but any one I have told about it who has bought it has seen miraculous results. You might even share it with the doctors you are working with.
Hugs!
Jess

Some treatments at home may help for eczema:
1. Cold compress to sooth inflamed skin.
2. Corticosteroids cream and ointment (apply to inflamed skin).
Changing diet into:
Some of common foods that trigger Eczema are dairy, wheat, shellfish, nuts, proteins, and corn. Removing unclean, or processed foods from your diet will also be an important step forwards your healing and overall better health. One of the step is fruit cleanse. Hope this helps for everyone :)

Hello Amme

So sad to read how you are struggling with your eczema. I suffered too once, though never as badly as yours. I read a great deal and studied eczema so that I could understand what was going on and why. Through this study I have learned how to get my eczema under control.

It seems that your condition is very severe and may take more time to get under control. Did you see this post on this forum which might help you?

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6913

I did learn that our immune system (in eczema sufferers) is out of control so it may be a place to start looking for a solution as this member did?

Wishing you all the best :)
