Re: Eczema cream for mum on Chemo

Hi!

Sorry to hear of the chemo - a better cream to help restore dry skin will be one with ceramides/lipids - these replenish the missing parts of the skin that causes the dryness, more effective than plain moisturizing which protects the skin barrier from excessive loss of moisture.

Wishing you a good hols!

‘Many of the creams contained strong steroids that actually hurt Lula to apply and I became increasingly worried about the potential long-term side effects,’ she said.
Mrs Balmond refused when Great Ormond Street asked to carry out steroid treatment when Lula’s eczema was at its worst aged three.
Her breakthrough came when a friend gave her a book about herbs. Mrs Balmond, who lives with husband Mark, 46, an actor, in Brighton, began studying the ones known to alleviate skin problems.
