Hello I also have severe eczema and I have had it all my life so I can relate. I am 37 years old now. My eczema is much much better now but its from much trial and error. I have been to many specialist and they all did the same thing which was prescribe a ointment or steroid so I went the holistic way and tried a food elimination diet. I have many allergies so it was worth a try. I stopped eating meat for a while and then I went vegan. It worked a little but not all the way I still itched and scratched so I added meat back in and dairy and went gluten/ wheat free but I still broke out at times and I wasn't healing like when I was on the steroids. So I added the gluten back in and took out the dairy and I saw a big difference but I still broke out at times. So Finally I thought about it and stopped eating dairy and wheat and BAM that just about did it, I began to heal as if I was on steroids which means I began to heal really quick and my skin began to smooth out and not itch as much!! This worked for me but I know everyone is different so continue to try things just remember that eczema is a internal problem so what ever is causing it is coming from either something you are eating or something you are putting on your skin. I still itch sometimes but its mainly from stress and heat once I calm down and cool down I'm fine. I hope this helped you and stay encouraged!!! Your not alone.
