Chest pain
Hi, I had a quad bypass September 2007 and don't feel any better for it. I have regular chest pain which feels like angina but whenever I see an "expert" all they can say is "it's muscle pain". Is this something that I'm stuck with or will it eventually go.

Re: Chest pain
Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems with pain for so long. Sometimes muscular pain can linger on but it's important that any further progression of your heart disease has been ruled out. You don't mention which experts you've seen but I hope you've been assessed by a cardiac specialist and had some tests done. If not, please do enquire with your GP for the appropriate referrals. If any cardiac cause has been ruled out then you may benefit from a referral to a pain specialist or discuss pain management options with your GP.
Best wishes,
Doireann Maddock
