Repeated hand eczema flare up

Hi all, new here...

Over the past 6 months or so, i have suffered from repeated, severe eczema flare ups on my left hand. I've been treating my my hand mainly with steroid cream (prescribed by my GP), as well as Epaderm, which I apply multiple times per day.

The problem is that shortly after I finish the course for my steroid cream, the most recent being for 7 days, my skin will apear to be completely fine and then suddenly start blistering and itching again.

Thus far, I've been unsuccessful from effectively treating my eczema in the long term, and was wondering if anyone here would be able to suggest any alternatives to steroid creams that may help.

Thank you!

Re: Repeated hand eczema flare up

Sorry to hear that.. no experience with hand eczema but I suppose have to figure out what's triggering the rash to stop it from flaring? The other way I can think of is to slowly reduce steroid cream, and then perhaps apply once every few days even when there's no rash to see if it will stop flaring once it's stopped completely? Take care!

Re: Repeated hand eczema flare up

I have had eczema for several years as well. Been on steroids which didnt work. Was recommended by my friend to use dermacuresg product. Feel less dry now.
