Finding recipes for food intolerance and allergy

Good afternoon!

I am new on this forum and came here to let you know about a tool that we're building to help people with food intolerance and allergies find recipes excluding certain ingredients.

We've noticed the web sites that are currently on the market either do not work accurately enough or are completely unusable as they require to list all foods that one should avoid every time, even though it's often all just about one common ingredient present in all those foods, like gluten or lactose. We want to make this a lot simpler.

I know how much of a problem it is to search through all the recipes filtering out all the 'bad' ones, so if you'd also like this process to be easier, leave us your e-mail address and we will be in touch about the launch.

Regards,
Robert

Re: Finding recipes for food intolerance and allergy

food intolerance is when your body, for reasons other than those that engage the immune system, reacts improperly to an ingested food.

allergy - immune factors are produced because your body mistakes the food for something harmful to you.

EXAMPLES:
in lactose intolerance, you are lacking the enzyme that metabolizes the sugar in milk.

in milk allergy, your immune system mistakes the protein in the milk for a harmful intruder and sends out Ig complexes that constitute the "allergic reaction" depending on which Ig is sent out (there are 6) it is very mild - or life threatening.
