EpiPen redesign to address parental anxiety of child allergy

Hi,
I study Product Design at University and I'm in my final year. As part of that I have to design and create a product. I've chosen to redesign the EpiPen as my boyfriend has recently been given one.
I want to redesign a way to make parents feel more comfortable when injecting their child. This could also incorporate advising when to inject your child to making you feel more confident that your child is ok when theyre not with you.
I would greatly appreciate it if any parents could share your experiences and your thoughts with me, and id love to find out more about how you're feeling.
