Longer lasting periods

I am 44 and have had my period for two weeks, the last 4 months I have suffers from a pain in my legs during the first day or so of my period. I have also had some heavier clots, should I be worried or is this normal for my age

Re: Longer lasting periods

I cannot explain the leg pains. The prolonged period is generally due to hormones - i.e. it may well be age related.
I would not act on a single prolonged period as you describe but if this repeats itself you may need a checkup
