Torn skin on entrance of vagina and white discharge

Hi,
2 days ago I had a quite rough sex with a guy- I had met him before- but essentially has ended up being a one night stand. The entrance of my vagina is torn;( I'm currently waiting to have a fenton's repair procedure to fix the extra piece of loose skin on the entrance of the vagina in early April) and although not bleeding much, is incredibly sore.

The swelling of the vagina has come down a lot, but since Thursday evening i had a watery, blood tinged discharge, which now seems to be still watery on the outer stain on my knickers but now with a heavy, ready discharge, biege in colour almost.

I've been cleansing the area gently with warm water every time I have a wee...which by the way has, since having sex, and incredibly strong, foul smell. I've taken some cystopurin in the hope his will help.i've also been putting a small amount of vagisal cream on the cracked/torn skin and putting a little inside too, as I'm desperate.

I don't know what to do. I'm going on holiday mid next week, and fear I'm not going to get an appointment with my doctors in time before going away. Please help!

I would also advise a doctors appointment.

Swabs should be sent to check for infection. (A foul smell is suggestive of infection).

Also an STI screen is recommended.

A topical treatment to the affected area may help alleviate your symptoms.

Re: Torn skin on entrance of vagina and white discharge

The discharge & blood staining could simply be due to a small internal laceration after the friction of intercourse - this will heal naturally by itself in a few days. But the foul smell is more likely to be an infection - bacterial vaginosis (which is a change in the balance of normal gems) or trichomonas which is a genuine sexually transmitted infection.

If you want this sorted out immediately & properly, don't bother to wait for an appointment with your GP - go straight away to your local sexual health clinic and you'll get an accurate diagnosis with on-the-spot microscopy & free treatment. Most clinics do a combination of walk in sessions & appointments and you should be able to get seen & start treatment before you go on holiday. To find your local clinic, go to: http://www.bashh.org/clinics?location=& ... est+clinic.

Another bit of advice - while you're waiting to get checked, just bathe with slightly salty water (pint of lukewarm water water with teaspoon of salt) or a handful of salt in the bath. Vagisil won't actually help other than with slight pain reduction, because it only has a mild local anaesthetic effect, so doctors never use it to treat anything.
