Found a Lump!!!

Hi
I have recently found a small hard lump next to the opening if my cervix! The size of a pin head. I've never noticed it before.
It doesn't cause much discomfort or pain. There is nothing else unusual. Is this cancer?
I had a smear 2 years ago and it came back negative. I'm 28 and have one baby who is now 4. Delivered by Caesarian.
I'm am currently menstruating and have been using tampons.
Is there anything else this could be?
Shall I go and see my gp?

Re: Found a Lump!!!

The most likely cause for this is something called a Nabothian follicle. They are very common and certainly NOT cancer. They are essentially like small blocked mucus glands and they go away on their own with time. However, without examining you it is not possible to say this for certain, so you should ask your GP to check it for you.
