when I was 10 (I am now 12) I had an anaphylactic shock when i took a cough medicine which is called Venos. i was rushed to hospital as i could not breath as my wind pipes had swollen and it was very uncomfortable. we concluded that i was allergic to the sulphites in venos.

AliceW - you're very brave by the sounds of it. My daughter also had allergies - mainly it was to eggs. But it is worrying that there are so many potential things that people can be allergic to - I hope things get better for you.
