Undiagnosed IBS - frequent urination and swelling of abdomen

Im 19 and in dec 2013 I had a laparoscopy, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy and the insertion of a merina coil. This was an investigation to rule out possible endometriosis or interstitial cystitis.
After my procedure, I was told that I had a swollen bladder and needed to be on a course of antibiotics for 3 days.
Since then I have had spotting everyday from the coil and have recently started with bloating and swelling around my abdomen again, which I had before my procedure. My consultant believed (before the operation) that the problem was possibly IBS. I have also developed more frequent urination, particularly at night and feel like I cannot fully empty my bladder.
Are these symptoms related to the coil? or possible IBS?
