starting period everytime i have intercourse

every time I have sex I now come on my period, either within the hour or by the next morning, I split up with my partner and did not have sex for a few months and forgot about this issue, then I had sex the other day and the same thing happened again like clockwork so it began to worry me.. I had a pregnancy termination the beginning of December last year and didn't have sex for about a month after and it has been happening since then. Im really worried that there is something wrong but I'm too embarrassed to go to my gp at present. I also have polycystic ovaries.
