Bowel problems
I suffer frequent bouts of differing bowel movements, from constipation to varying states of diarrhea. and have done for about 5 years
These are broken up by small bouts of normal bowel movements.I always have some form of uncomfortableness in my lower abdomen. Had various blood tests and all returned clear.
I have a 'prolapsed bowel' which has been operated on,but did not solve the issue. This makes going to the toilet very problematic, and the prolapse always comes out on its own when I sit on the toilet.
I have just recovered from my latest, and worse case of unexplained diarrhea and am at the point where I would like to get to the bottom(excuse the pun ) of my problem.
Any help and advice greatly received.

Re: Bowel problems
You have had a colonoscopy correct? Was it normal? Do you take lots of Imodium? I wonder whether you have underlying constipation with overflow. Can the prolapse be repaired once more by an expert surgeon?

Re: Bowel problems
I would agree that you may have chronic constipation with overflow diarrhea. You would benefit from an appointment with a Colorectal Specialist Nurse / Continence Adviser.
In the meantime you may benefit from speaking to a Bladder and Bowel Foundation Continence Adviser - call our clinical helpline on 0845 345 0165 leave your name and number and an adviser will call you back.
