Hi
Do you have constipation? check out the bristol stool chart types 1 & 2 are constipation

If you are constipated strategies to keep stools soft will help, ensure you are drinking adequate fluid, at least 8 cups per day - your urine should be pale yellow or clear, this normally suggests you are drinking adquate fluid. You can add some soluble fibre to your diet if you are constipated, oats, golden linseeds (ensure you drink a glass of fluid with this) and fruits & vegetables contain soluble fibre. Increase this by one portion (a handful of fruit or 2-3 tablespoons of vegetables per day and monitor symptoms, golden linseeds can be taken up to 4 tablespoons per day, but may take up to 1 month to improve symptoms. Introduce any new amount of fibre slowly into your diet. Avoid wheat bran if you are suffering from bloating, but do not exclude wheat from your diet completely as if you are tested from coeliac disease you need to include gluten in your diet (found in wheat barley & rye.)
I would advise you seek medical attention for your problems, you GP will no doubt explain any tests before you have them done, to reduce your anxiety about health interventions. Not everyone will need an operation but what is really important is that you get treated promptly - unfortunatley ignoring symptoms will not make them go away.
