re immunisations

My Daughter has had ME for two years and is aged 15. She is unable to go to school due to ill health.
she is due her HPV vaccination and DPT immunisations, should she have these vaccinations with ME and being so ill. What is the risk of relapse further following vaccination please?

I am aware that a lot has been written about the HPV vaccine and CFS/ME however certainly the general advice based on information from the medicine and health care products regulation agency (MHRA) is that they have not found any link between the vaccine and development of CFS/ME.
The usual advice about vaccinations should be considered in that vaccines should be avoided if there is any evidence of intercurrent infection

Dr Charles Shepherd, also contributing to this online clinic, has a special interest in vaccine induced ME and I once heard him speak at a meeting to say that vaccinations should be approached with caution by people with ME, but that each case should be considered on it's merits and the risks/benefits of having the vaccination or remaining susceptible to the disease. Vaccinating is a very personal decision anyway, but perhaps you should have a word with Dr Shepherd to see what advice he is able to offer.

A couple studies were done regarding flu vaccinations in ME/CFS patients, and they found that the patients had abnormal immune and other reactions to the vaccinations, though the vaccinations also seemed to provide protection appropriately to the ME/CFS patients.

Are the abnormal side-effects of ME/CFS patients to at least some vaccines anything to worry about? Some people seem to think that vaccines triggered their disease or a relapse, but that's just anecdotal. It's hard to know what to think when there's so little research in the area, and conflicting advice abounds.
