There are some interesting clinical and pathological overlaps between ME/CFS and post-polio syndrome and this was a matter of considerable scientific interest several years ago - but less so now

If you want to get a good clinical opinion there are a small number of neurologists here in the UK who are interested in post-polio syndrome.

The centre at St Thomas's Hospital in London would be a good place to start if you want to go down this route.
