Help from GP

I attended the Dorset me/cfs clinic when 1st diagnosed 6 years ago but due to problems with my employer & stress was never able to establish a baseline & pace effectively. Eventually lost my job. Have improved considerably but still on boom & bust cycle with relapses lasting up to a week every 8-10 weeks. My gp listens but doesn't offer any advice on how to better manage illness. Can you be referred to a clinic more than once & is it unreasonable to expect my dr to try & help? Find the repeated relapses distressing.

Yes - there is no reason why your GP cannot refer you back to a hospital based ME/CFS service if there are management issues that he/she is not able to deal with
