Waiting for treatment - Dr Miller

I was diagnosed on 18th July by Dr Miller at the Royal in Liverpool and am being referred to Broad Green for CFS treatment. I've telephoned the hospital and apparently they are two months behind with typing letters. Another person with CFS/ME said it took her a year to be seen after she was first diagnosed. I understand that resources are stretched but I am really struggling to manage and becoming very depressed. I am already on antidepressants and really want to know what to do in the interim to try and help myself. Thank you.

Re: Waiting for treatment.

Hopefully Dr Miller will see this question later today - as it's really one for him

If not, I suggest you flag it up again with a heading: Question for Dr Miller

Re: Waiting for treatment - Dr Miller

The ME charities have a lot of information on all aspects of management and we have an ME Connect telephone line (contact details on MEA website: http://www.meassociation.org.uk) where you can talk to someone about ME

If you require more help with depression there are various psychological treatments that could be of help as well. This website is useful here:

But I think you really ought to see what Dr Miller says - he may be able to help in speeding up the administrative process
