GP advice
I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue 18 months ago. I recently saw a new GP who told me to forget I was ill; push through the exhaustion and get on with my life. She told me that that was the way to cure the chronic fatigue. I was very upset and distressed by this advice as I can't push through it. Any views on this advice please? Thanks.

Re: GP advice
If this management advice from a doctor relates to ME/CFS then it is inappropriate and potentially harmful
I suggest you ask your GP if you could be referred to a hospital based ME/CFS service for informed advice on management
Details of all the UK hospital based ME/CFS referral services (for both diagnosis and management) can be found on the MEA website:
