Re: Thank you!

Thank you all for your thankyous!

It makes a real difference to be acknowledged. And in return, I acknowledge all of you: you have the courage and determination to find answers, and to do all you can to understand your health and how to move forwards. You keep going despite such difficult circumstances, and face challenges most people never have to confront.

There are no easy answers out there, but there are a lot of people who are now better and stronger and these positive people are the ones who can guide and inspire you on your journey.

All the best to every single person out there.

Re: Thank you!

And a big thank you from me. Not from the ME.

Chris.

Re: Thank you!

I'd like to add my thanks, particularly to Dr Shepherd who answered several questions from me and who has been working very hard!

It's clear from the fact that the forum had to be shut down for a while because of the overwhelming number of questions that there's a huge amount of unmet clinical need here. I hope that there might be the possibility of another forum in future. ME is a complex disease that requires expert specialist multidisciplinary care and it simply isn't available. Many of us are too ill even to visit a doctor, let alone to get care at even a single specialist level.

Many thanks again.

Re: Thank you!

Thanks a lot to all those who have worked so hard to engage honestly with the concerns of patients.

Re: Thank you!

I would like to thankyou for all the time and effort you have put in to this clinic. I think it is discusting that you have had to spend your own free time, without pay. Thankyou again it makes me feel good that some people like your good selves actually give a dam, but more frustrated at the lack of help and empathy from the NHS, BMC etc, etc. I know anger is a wasteful use of energy, but do you blame me.

Re: Thank you!

Grateful thanks from me too. It's a nightmare disease, with no easy answers, but hopefully, as real scientific research is picking up momentum right now, we will soon see the back of no help being available.

Re: Thank you!

A big thank you to Dr Shepherd and all the team, not just for this week but for all the work you do on behalf of those of us with CFS. It is appreciated.

Re: Thank you!

Yes thankyou very much - to everyone.

It's also been interesting to see where the 'holes' in what's known about ME/CFS causes great practical difficulties in deciding how to proceed. I do hope that the concerns raised on all sides will be considered and taken forwards?

Thank you to Dr Shepherd

I would particularly like to thank Dr Shepherd, whose posts have been consistently clear, thoughtful, practical and considered and have shown a marked degree of empathy and humility.

I have learnt a lot from his posts and have been pointed towards some new resources to consult in the future.

Dr Shepherd, those of us who, like you, live with ME, know what it costs to have several days of concentrated activity over and above what we normally do and so I particularly appreciate your willingness to take such an active and committed role in this forum.

Thank you and all good wishes for your own health and well-being.

Clare
