Small psoriasis spots
Hi- I have had psoriasis on and off for a number of years and recently have noticed more small spots than normal. They appear on my legs, tummy and sometimes on my face. They are about 1 cm in size and stay for ages. I went to the doctor and he gave me some mild steroid cream to place on them. The effect of this has been to permanently leave a white mark where the spot was, where other spots that I didn't put the cream on have just faded away. The one spot in particular was on a bone so is that because the skin is thinner there? Lastly do you know what causes such random spots as they are very annoying!
Many thanks
Many thanks

Dear Jackie,
I completely agree with Sheila. In general in face and skin fold areas mild topical steroids are appropriate (e.g. Daktacort) while on limbs and trunk Dovonex ?Silkis (topical vitamin D) and Dovobet (topical vitamin D and steroid) can be used under supervision of a doctor.
I hope this is helpful.
