Hi Remi
It would benefit you to continue to use an emollient to wash your hands with, pat the skin dry and re-apply the emollient regularly . However, you may also have a contact dermatitis to your hands. You need to have this correctly diagnosed. If this is the case patch testing may show any treatments that are not suitable for you. Once that has been established a suitable topical treatment can be prescibed which you may find more beneficial.

Re: psoriasis on hands: embarassing

Psoriasis and eczema are closely related, my son was born with body coverage of psoriasis and eczema. It is not a skin problem, your psoriasis is a digestive issue. The stress and medications from your accident tipped your body into the next level of crisis. Check out leaky gut syndrome, your food is not properly digested and the toxins from the undigested food leaks into your blood stream and then out through your skin. Address your digestion and your skin will clear. It took me many years of research, trials and errors to learn all this. Eventually I went back to school and earned my degree in integrative nutrition. I now specialize in allergies, eczema, psoriasis and asthma. All very closely related. Research essential fatty acid deficiency, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Food is medicine.

i would suggest you stop using the alcohol gel - i used to work as a therapist and used alcohol gel after handwashing between clients and the use of this gave me patches of p on my hands.

whilst i agree that eczema and p are linked they are not the same - eczema is a skin condition, p is an auto-immune disease so therefore their treatments and management are very different.

Hi Remi

Have you tried Dermacura? Its a Natural Skin Spray, containing no steroids or cortisones. I know a few people that have used it for Psoriasis, one in particular used it for her hands as well - she's tried everything that the doctors have given her and she says that the best results have come from Dermacura.

I hope your psoriasis has improved for you. Did you find any options that work for you?

I've been using PsoEasy natural cream for over 4 weeks and the dryness, scaling and patches are almost gone. Before I started using this cream, my hands resembled those of a 90-year old man but I'm just 20. Highly recommend PsoEasy cream)
