Ichthyosis Vulgaris and filaggrin
I read in a recent posy by Dr Mary Judge that Ichthyosis Vulgaris is caused by a mutation in the filiaggrin gene.
Does anyone know of the current state of research into this which could lead to improved treatments or the holy grail, a cure and how far down the road this might be?
I have read on another internet forum that there was some research being carried out in conjunction with Dundee university and a treatment was about to go through toxicology tests.
Anyone?
