Early sign of vitiligo

Hello,
I have a situation on my skin, let me describe it briefly. It started 3 years ago during my gym routine and small abrasion remains as a white patch on my genitals. It never spread all affect anything till May this year it start spreading around that area. Now I noticed as early as August that , any burn or abrasion on my skin after it heals remain white in most cases, there are 5 places on my hand and 2 places on my leg. There is also one new on my ear. I went to my GP and had blood tested and they said I do not have (Diabetes, thyroid and the like). Is there any way I can stop this condition from happening? The only advice I got from my GP is not to expose my self for anything which can harm my skin. I would really appreciate your help. If you would like to know more please let me know.

Re: Early sign of vitiligo

Dear Alex,

Good evening. Yes this sounds suspicious of vitiligo. Vitiligo may be triggered by trauma so you have to be careful with this. But it may also appear spontaneously.
You may want to ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist for UVB phototherapy or treatment with tacrolimus ointment or pimecrolimus cream.

I hope this is helpful.
