last January I went to see a young doctor for chest pain and he gave me a wrong drug ,Respiradone 2 gram .Long after two weeks I lost my cognition and memory like that! I went to an expert and I was told its not for chest and its a psychotic .how can I remove the effect and go back to myself?Smith.

The drug you were given was Risperidone, which is an antipsychotic commonly used to relieve the symptoms of mental health problems such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. If you check the manufacturer's leaflet here: http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/documen ... entId=4455 you'll see there are numerous possible side effects, but there's no mention of the ones you describe; however that's not to say the drug couldn't have caused the side effects you experienced. However, if you are no longer taking the drug it's highly unlikely that it's still having an effect on your cognition and memory. I suggest you visit your GP to check whether there's some other medical reason for you experiencing these problems.

If you can prove that you were given this drug by mistake I would think you are well within your rights to lodge a formal complaint to the surgery/hospital where it was prescribed.
