Getting rid of psoriasis

Modern medicine offers all types of tips for prophylaxis and curing methods for various ailments but more than ever people are seeking the help of Ayurveda for psoriasis treatment. There is no particular area in the body which is susceptible to the disease and therefore this can occur on any region on the surface of the skin. In the case of plaque psoriasis the disease manifests in the form of scaly areas on the skin which seem as reddish bumps but these are a collection of dead skin cells. This disease is categorized as an auto–immune disorder and modern medicine researchers are unsure about the actual cause of the disease but there are many ways to curb the disease and relieve the patient from the symptoms. According to Ayurveda, the skin’s moisture is retained during the treatment process and since the medicinal herbs and concoctions are in their best efficacy in equable climate the blood purification and skin massages with medicated oils are done in such places. Panchakarma treatment which comprises of a unique blend of therapeutic practices are done in the treatment of psoriasis and during this period the patient is requested to stay in the premises of the hospital with the food provided by the staff. This is because there are certain foods that have an opposite action and this will trigger the disease for some whereas for others they may be quite harmless and this must be studied by the doctor to decide and to know what triggers the disease in each patient.
