Bleeding between periods

This is the third month that I have bled between periods. I am on dianette and have been on it since October (previously was not on a pill). I've considered that it might be a fibroid but I don't think I have the risk factors (I am slim) and I also don't have any other symptoms (no pain during sex, no lower back pain, no frequent urination/constipation etc.).

It is such a hassle to go to the GP! Do you think it is necessary?

Also concerned about fertility (would like to start a family soon).

There are all sorts of reasons for bleeding between periods and fibroids are well down the list. It is unlikley but might be that the diannette contributes. What is important is that you are examined and all the various explanations considered. You should go either to your GP or a sexual health clinic.
