pain before, during and after intercourse

My boyfriend and I used to have a healthy sex life, but for around 6 months it has been incredibly uncomfortable getting his penis into my vagina, and the longer it is in or the more it goes in and out only adds to the pain. It then burns after intercourse for a while. I was wondering what can be done because it is frustrating for both of us, as I have lost my libido

Re: pain before, during and after intercourse

The most likely cause seems to be vaginal thrush that needs to be treated.
It is important that both you and your partner get treatment.
In some cases, there may be anatomical reasons, that can become worse with time from chronic irritation, that can also be treated. A clinical assessment would be required to ascertain such problems.
