Firey, red, inflamed skin on face..

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can offer some advice. I am a 36 year old male with firey red, inflamed skin on my face. This flares up to an unbareable level at times then settes but is present all the time. There are no food or allergy triggers. I do have a stressful job but I did have a bad episode recently while on holiday so can't say it's necessarily stress relater either.

My GP has prescribed numerous creams, steroid creams and antibiotics with no relief.

I would be grateful for any advice if anyone has had any experience of something similar.

At my wits end & don't know where to turn

Hi
the use of sun protection is essential for a condition, such as rosacea. although skin camouflage is worn by men (hence the reason we do not call it "make-up" or associate it with any female cosmetic) but we appreciate that this may not be the answer you are seeking. there are tinted moisturisers available (over the counter sales) and one that has a pale yellow to it might help to "calm down" the redness - note applying a green coloured concealer results in green coloured skin!
