Dry red skin between two fingers

I have developed dry red skin between two fingers on my left hand. This occurred about 6 weeks ago, I have tried several creams but it keeps coming back. Should I see a Doctor?

Re: Dry red skin between two fingers

The simple answer is yes. If you have an undiagnosed and persistent skin problem then finding out what it is and what to treat it with is important. There a re a few useful things you can use:- Moisturisers applied frequently; avoiding detergents and soaps which degrease the skin (use cream washes); a moderate steroid such as Eumovate ointment which you can obtain without prescription applied twice daily all can often help. If these do not cause your skin to improve then definitely seek further advice from your GP.
