Psoriasis often affects the skin creases and nearby and we call it "flexural" whereas the Americans prefer the term "Inverse."
The characteristic of psoriasis is that the edge is very clear so that you could draw a line around the red area easily un loke eczema where the edges blur into the surrounding skin.
The usual treatment is Eumovate ointment twice daily but if there are signs of secondary infection usually with surface candida (lots of satellite spots around the main red area) then a combination cream Trimovate can be very useful and effective. It is only available on prescription and is yellow and will stain underwear! Othe remedies are available but a doctor will be need to diagnose and prescribe. Please do not be embarrassed since it has nothing to do with cleanliness and indeed never ever use antiseptics like Dettol or TCP.
