Hi Jelly Syrup

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I don't have epilepsy but have several medical conditions, and some drug allergies. I also wear Medic Alert jewellery. In fact, Epilepsy Action have an arrangement with Medic Alert, where members get a discount:

If you are a supporter of Epilepsy Action you will receive £5 off* any first time jewellery purchase by quoting the discount code EAF5. If you are a member of Epilepsy Action you will receive a £10 discount*. To get the discount telephone MedicAlert Foundation on the above telephone number.

*Valid when signing up to annual membership with MedicAlert paid by Direct Debit and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Thank you for starting this very useful topic.

Re: Just want to say many thanks

There is no doubt that Medic Alert jewellery can help to increase confidence and enhance the safety of individuals who choose to wear it.

I also often point people in the direction of the ‘I have epilepsy ID card’ produced by the Epilepsy Society. This allows people to carry individualised information about their epilepsy including a description of what happens during their seizures, how long they usually last for, how long it takes to recover and what assistance they may need. It also includes space for information about emergency contacts and current treatment. There is a printable version available online from the Epilepsy Society website here: http://www.epilepsysociety.org.uk/sites ... ersion.pdf
