rubbing of face and becomes hot and weeping

Hi, I've had eczema since birth and was using steroid creams daily for more than 8 years. Thankfully i am off them and only use it when its really bad. However, over the past year or so , on and off, my face tense to become itchy, usually after dinner, and then i start rubbing my face quite vigorously as i don't want to scratch it . This happens sometimes every evening, or at least 1 or 2 times a week. Its very frustrating as well as i don't know whats causing it! I think it may be whatever moisturiser i put on, (I've been using natural shea butter as well) but its fine when i use it at other times throughout the day, and after when i get out of the shower its ok, but when it turns past 7 and i use it ,i tend to rub my face quite bad.

Has anyone come across this, or know what i should do?

Thanks

Hi! Not sure of the timing of the use of creams, but maybe consider rotating creams. Sometimes, it help to lower the risk of being sensitized to the ingredients in the cream; a little more of this in an interview with a skincare product R&D phd

Hope it helps and maybe consider Protopic? Non-steroid option..

Re: rubbing of face and becomes hot and weeping

Hi arjunjain_7, I know its too late for reply ,, I hope everything is well there. We had same problem I can understand your pain..

my experience in managing my son’s severe eczema, food allergies, asthma, along awesome allergy free-recipes, latest research and treatment plans that worked for us. Weeping eczema is referred to a condition where the symptoms of eczema are severe and result in a bacterial infection. :) If you are experiencing a mild case of eczema, where only a small area of the skin is affected, home based remedies can be adopted. However, a severe case requires immediate medical treatments.

Thanks,
