Vacuum cleaner advice
Hi guys,
Finally starting to make an effort to do something more for my eczema and was wondering if anyone had any vacuum cleaner recommendations? I have googled a bit but the medivac one seems to be quite expensive and I'm not even sure if it will make all that much of a difference.
Any suggestions or personal experience would be appreciated.
Thanks
Seenan

Re: Vacuum cleaner advice
Hi! I did borrow those super expensive ones from my friend that can pull out the dust mites from within the mattress, used it like twice a year. The rest of the time I removed dust by not letting dust accumulate e.g. no carpets, upholstery, wet wipe the floor and surfaces daily, wash bedsheet and dust mite protector in 60 deg c water weekly and throw away mattress if too old. If tend to scratch and lots of dead skin, maybe wear a wet/ dry wrap at night, moisturize the skin and less 'food' for the dust mites, take care!

Re: Vacuum cleaner advice
Thanks for the advice - unfortunately I have carpet all upstairs and on the stairs so I need to vacuum. Was wondering if the HEPA filter vacuums would help etc?
What is the wet wrap for night times?

Re: Vacuum cleaner advice
Think HEPA ones should be fine
More on wet wrap here when I interviewed the manufacturer - I usually use it as a dry wrap, i.e. only one layer over moisturized skin, instead of one dry layer over the one wet layer (basically soak in water) over the moisturized skin

Take care,
