allergy test advice

I have a nut and shellfish allergy, and I am looking to get my 4 year old tested to see if he is at risk of the same.

Are there any recommendations on companies to use? Or are all allergy tests the same? Any advise most welcome. I live in Berkshire

Thanks

Re: allergy test advice

hi - specific allergies aren't inherited but you need either skin prick tests or IgE allergy tests to rule these out - just ask your GP to do the blood tests an if negative then get on with the food in the diet. Being positive doesn't mean definite allergy and this may require further investigation
