Celiac Disease

Hello, I have suffered with terrible stomach cramps and other gastro symptoms for the past four years and have just been told after a long awaited MRI scan that one of my small intestines tunnels is very narrow. I am assuming that this is what has been causing me all the pain etc... But would like to know what has caused this to happen. Could this be an allergy to gluten? How do you know if you are allergic to gluten?
Thanks

Re: Celiac Disease

Dear ChazBobBonz81,

Please see my response to the Wheat and Gluten Allergy post where I discuss wheat and gluten intolerance and different conditions which can be associated with this.

Narrowing of the small intestine is not usually caused by an allergy to wheat or coeliac disease.
