How to beat acne

It is often dismissed as a phase linked with ‘hormones’ or something in the diet. But skin experts believe that no one should have to suffer the indignity and pain of acne.

The condition, commonly associated with teenagers, is on the rise among adults, with 12 per cent of women and three per cent of men over 25 suffering from the skin disease.

Famous grown-up sufferers include Victoria Beckham, 37, Cameron Diaz, 39, and Katy Perry, 27, and stressful lifestyles are partly to blame.

This article below discusses various treatments and their effectiveness on acne. Which of these have you tried? Did they work for you?

Re: How to beat acne

Acne is the condition that cannot be cured completely. Aloe Vera is used to maintain our skin smooth and healthy. Vitamins also play a crucial role in the healthy skin. Wash your face twice a day for clean and smooth skin. Exfoliate the skin with natural soap and finish with a pore closing cold rinse, or use hot water to open the pores on the face. Nice post, thanks a lot.

I don't like the way the article belittles the risks associated with stronger treatments such as isotretinoin; there are so many serious possible side effects associated with such treatments.

It would have been helpful if they'd have reviewed more tropical treatments for acne, that are more accessible such as reviewing topical creams such as Aknicare and the likes. I know that Retinol A is supposed to work well but is out of reach price wise for many.

Re: How to beat acne

I think you can beat acne by proper dieting and nutrition .. by better advice and recommendation of your physician and dermatologist.

I believe that acne can be prevented if we live in a toxic-free environment. Eating natural and organic foods will also be a great way to prevent skin problems. Since acne is common to everybody, healthy diet and clean environment are important.

Re: How to beat acne

I had acne for several years. I have also struggled a lot because of it. I tried everything, home remedies, dermatologist, acne creams, gels and face washes but acne used to stop for a few days and come again. Then I did research my self and found out that I have to take a lot of care of my skin along with medication. So I started drinking a lot of water, working out, stopped eating oily food, use clean towels and changing my pillow covers once or twice a week. There's so much bacteria on them you really should to prevent new acne. So I tried these disposable pillows covers from this website kovrdpillowslips.com These ones are actually disposable so super easy! They also have product in them that improves the condition of your skin whilst you sleep. So along with medication proper care is also important. I hope this will help you.
