COPD

Don't forget that now is the time to be having your flu injection. Also if you haven't had one for prevention of pneumonia then talk to your GP or respiratory nurse. Anything that helps to avoid exacerbations or viruses is worth looking in to. If you are unsure about the flu jab it is important to contact your doctors surgery and discuss the pros and cons. Don't just think it won't happen to you. I have had influenza and believe me , it is much much worse than just a heavy cold, and something I never want to go through again. It affected my hearing, sight ,movement not to mention the dizziness and pain. With COPD it can make your condition much worse and I personally wil do anything to avoid a spell in hospital ! Let me know what you think ,and what you do to try avoiding exacerbations in the winter months.
