Hi,

I may soon be travelling to Nigeria and will need certain vaccinations. Some of the recommended vaccinations include, Diphtheria; Hepatitis A; Poliomyelitis; Tetanus; Typhoid and Yellow Fever.

I am currently taking Keppra and would like to know if there are any issues in having these injections, and if there is anything I need to be aware of? I know I will also need to take malaria tablets and that there are only certain ones I can take due to my epilepsy.

Thank you

Hi

I've checked the Government's Immunisation Green book ( http://tinyurl.com/ns5mwmu) and epilepsy or treatment is no contraindication for the following immunisations:

Diptheria
Hepatitis A
Polio
Tetanus
Typhoid
Yellow fever

as long as you are not very unwell.
