Anorexia to over eating with other problems

I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong area.

I am struggling badly.
Three years ago I became anorexic for the second time, and was given two hours to live at one point. I followed advice to overcome it, but remained a starvation/binge eater. Over the last six months I have changed to overeating uncontrollably almost every day. My weight has shot up. I cannot help myself.
I am a type 1 diabetic ( for 48 years), long term severe clinical depression, and for over two years have had a tongue problem, which apparently they can do nothing for. My tongue is always dry, my tastebuds are shot, nothing tastes nice, and the tip sort of burns, especially if I eat/drink anything sweet.
I think this may be part of my problem as my mouth cries out for a satisfying taste, regardless of how full I am, I keep eating to try to satisfy, I easily eat 4000 Kc worth of food in an hour or two. :o

I cannot get any help for any of these problems anywhere.
I am wondering if you can give me any advice or where I may be able to get help.
I know the theory of three meals and three snacks daily, but it never helped and I can't do it any longer.

Sorry for the long post, but I am now very desperate.
Thank you

Hi, I really feel for you. I work with anorexics, including extreme cases. I can only begin to imagine the impact on you.

If you cannot get any help through the NHS there are private routes you can take, and also the charities as mentioned.

You need the right attention, that's for sure, and there is help out there. Please seek it...you can learn to be different...have the hope you deserve...

Thank you for your post.

Eating disorders and type 1 diabetes is very common and can be difficult to treat without appropriate support and help. As this is such a specialist area your diabetes specialist needs to consider referring you to the local psychology team but they really need to have an expertise in this area.

With regards to your altered taste sensation their could be several reasons for this. I would suggest your seen by an ENT specialist.

best of luck
