hello I'm 17 I've had really bad periods for about year now. I've been to the doctors they just put me on pills that aren't working. I've been trying for a baby for 8 months. I miss carried at 15. But every month my periods get worse I feel dizzy the bleeding is horrible I can't leave my house because of them. The doctors won't listen though. I need help it's affecting me a lot. Thanks

Hormonal methods can be very helpful for controlling bleeding but are contraceptive so would not be appropriate if you are trying to become pregnant. If not tried already, Tranexamic acid can be used at the time of your period and would not be contraceptive. If you have used these already and not helpful, worth checking the dose--are often prescribed as 1gram three times daily but you can take up to 4 grams daily.
