Re: Respiratory health & C-Section babies
Hello, can I ask whether you are pregnant and due to have a C-Section, or whether you have a child born by C-Section?
Either way, C-Sections should only be performed when the risks of a vaginal delivery outweigh the risks of a C-Section, and your Obstetrician and Paediatrician will always keep the best interests of you and your baby at heart.
In the medical profession we do not associate C-Section with high risk of future lung problems and we don't advise any further screening for babies born this way.
I hope this helps, Dr Webberley
