diverticulitis

My husband has diverticulitis , had part of bowel removed and now lucky enough not to have a stoma. It's been a year and half since reversal but still has bowel movements of 5+ times a day. This has caused him to have problems keeping a job. He's now taking loperamide on a daily basis. Can anyone help or have any suggestion on how to reduce bowel movements. Doctors are no help and told to eat what you want and enjoy life, easier said than done!!

Hi
Thanks for asking , been taking 1-2 per day, but has now ended up in a&e with constipation and 'overflow' diarrhoea. Now given senna which has removed blockage and told to try introducing fybogel. Hearing so much different advice , gets confusing.

It really does - would love to make suggestions but it sounds like an online forum probably not the place as quite a complex situation. Sorry - hope things improve for him.
