Sudden eczema flare up

Hi :)

I'm new here but would like some advice on an eczema flare up i've had recently.

I'm 20 years old and i've had eczema since I was a baby. In recent years it has cleared up and only really flares up when there is a sudden change in the weather, or if i'm stressed. But the last month or so it has flared up worse than it used to be without a noticeable trigger. I am getting the usual patches on my legs and arms, but I am also getting patches on my face which I have never had before. I have one particularly sore (and bright red) patch on my eyelid, and my whole face feels constantly itchy. I haven't changed anything in my skincare routine so it could be due to the weather, but it seems so much worse than usual.

Does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the patches on my face? I have always used Aveeno moisturiser but I have a hydrocortisone cream from boots pharmacy that doesn't seem to be making a difference either. I've tried steroid cream from the doctors before but it didn't do much either (cant remember the name)

Any ideas or tips??

Thank you so much in advance :D

Hi! May be worth considering something different for your skincare as overtime, it is also possible to be contact sensitive to the same ingredients in the skincare product. The other thing that may be useful if the face is very dry is to use Tubifast wrap over your head (and cut holes for eyes, nose and mouth). But you have to be sure that the skincare that you're putting on your face is not what is triggering the rash as what the wrap does is to 'press' the moisture into the face so you want to be sure that the skincare is right.. We use AI lotion on face, and then put the Tubifast over for bedtime.

Take care!
