Pseudomonas infections

Hi everyone

Last year my eczema became infected very quickly for no apparent reason, it was extremely red and felt like plastic (driest my skin has every felt) my GP had no idea what was wrong and treated me for a strep infection… however it carried on getting worse, started to weep pus and made me feel very unwell and very depressed to be honest. Eventually my family took me to hospital and I spent weeks in hospital after being diagnosed with a very severe psuedomonas infection in my skin, glands and blood. It took around 4 months from the start to cure and it left my skin unbelievably sensitive. Now, a year later, the infection is back and I have no idea why! If anyone has experienced pseudomonas, although with it being so rare I doubt many have, share your story…

Re: Pseudomonas infections

Thanks for sharing this, pseudomonas is not the common bacteria for eczema infection, mostly it's staph/strep. Hope all's better for you now, take care,
