This is a very difficult issue for parents and hard to understand. Self harm is a way of coping with difficult emotions, but it sounds as though you are thinking that your daughter might try it more as a peer group, copying thing. Do you think she has problems that she might cope with by hurting herself? If so, is it possible for you to talk to her about them?
