Elimination Diets to discover rosacea triggers

I've been tracking my triggers for several years and yet every now and again I'll suddenly discover a new one. It feels like I'll never reach the point that I know what I can and cannot eat.

After nearly two months of being flare-up free, I had a big bowl of fruit with lots of papaya in it. I haven't had papaya in years. It wasn't very long before a huge flare-up took over my face - redness, papules, pustules, burning and itching.

I've heard that elimination diets are a good way to effectively identify every single thing that is causing a food-based reaction. I was on Dr. Feingold's diet when I was a child and I reacted (different medical condition, not rosacea) to many of the foods I was eating. It turned out that artificial colouring and flavouring ingredients were causing my reactions.

More recently, I've seen other types of elimination diets. I'm not interested in the ones based on juicing or detoxing. But what about something like Low FODMAP diets to cut things out and then discover what works?

I'm curious if anyone has had luck with Low FODMAP diets or any other elimination-type dieting to learn triggers or clear chronic rosacea symptoms.
