Ocular rosacea

Hi

My friend had cataract surgery on one eye some months ago. Since the surgery, there has been a constant irritation and grittiness in the eye and having gone to a specialist consultant, it's now been diagnosed as ocular rosacea which seems to have been triggered by the surgery? A 6 week course of antibiotics has been prescribed but halfway through there has been no signs of improvement and after such a length of time it's becoming a mental issue too, with her getting very down.

Does anyone else know anything about, or has experienced, ocular rosacea and is able to advise on a way forward? We hope that after the full course of antibiotics has been taken then it will be better but it might not. Many thanks in advance!
